2011 Summer Festival

 

The Pembroke Dock Festival Group invite you to come along and get involved in this years festival, there are many different events.  We start the programme of events with the workshops for all the family, to make and prepare the decorations and structures for this years festival. 

The Theme for this year is Something in the air.....

Monday 20th June

Local History Walk

Walk with Brian Pratt. FREE

Please meet at the Pembroke Dock Library at 11am, for a walk led by a local person, who recounts all his knowledge, in a enthusiastic way for all to enjoy, local or visitor.

 

 

Historic Pub Walk

Walk with Keith Johnson (Shipwright, 6pm)

This walk is around the Historic Pubs in Pembroke Dock.

 

 

Tuesday 21st June

Anchorage Cream Tea

Held at the The Anchorage Centre, Commercial Row.(1.30-2.30)

Cream Teas £1 each

 

 

Gun Tower Museum Evening

(Shipwright, Front Street, 7pm, £5)

Due to the Gun Tower being closed at present, due to refurbishment, this event is being held at The Shipwright on Front Street.  A Buffet and a glass of Wine. Please contact Sarah on 07773564112 for more information and Tickets. 

 

 

Wednesday 22nd June

Teddy Bears Picnic

(Memorial Park, Bush Street, 3.30–5pm)

Activities arranged by Springboard, a storyteller and Face Painting, so come along, bring a Bear and a Picnic too.

 

 

Thursday 23rd June 

Walk with David James

(Pembroke Dock Library, 2pm)

David James leads a walk around the Royal Dockyard, and tells some of the history and fascinating stories.

 

 

West Wales Maritime Heritage Boatyard

Open Day, at the Boatyard on Front Street (3-5pm)

See the boats that have been restored.

 

NARC clean up

(Hobbs Point, 7pm)

Neptunes Army of Rubbish Collectors are doing a clean up around Hobbs Point, please come along as volunteers to help.

 

 

Friday 24th June

Pembroke Dock School Pedal

(BlueSchool, 10am)

The children from the Blue School set of at 10am and ride along Bush Street, turn down Commercial Row, then along Front Street, up Meyrick Street and back towards the School. Please come along and line the route, to give the children your support.

 

 

Flying Boat Centre

Open Day at the Flying Boat Centre, Gate 4, Fort Road, (10-4pm)

The Sunderland Trust are celebrating the second anniversary, since the Flying Boat Centre opened, Exhibits, special displays, meet some of the Dive Team from the Haven Sunderland T9044.  Refreshments Available. 

 

 

 

Festival Finale

Saturday 25th June

Street Party

(Dimond Street, 2-5pm)

Mask Making for the competition led by Springboard, will be held in the Pater Hall(side entrance) 12 Noon-2pm.

Compere Neil Thomas.

Street Theatre, Dancers, Samba Doc, Street Magic, Bouncy Castle, Rodeo Ride, and much more. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The decorations, and beautiful bird structures are ready. For the Fun in the Park.
